Privacy Policy — Renewo

Renewo (“the app”) is an expiring-document tracker developed by Berat Mehmetoglu. This policy explains what the app does — and does not do — with your information.

Summary

Renewo does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.

Data you enter

The documents you track (titles, expiry dates, categories, custom fields, notes, reminder settings, and any document photos you add) are stored only on your device using Apple’s on-device database (SwiftData). This data is never sent to us or to any third party. We operate no servers and have no way to access it.

If you enable iCloud device backup, your data may be included in that backup under Apple’s terms; this is handled entirely by Apple/iOS, not by Renewo.

Document scanning (camera & photos)

When you scan a document, Renewo uses the camera or a photo you select to read the expiry date and document type with Apple’s on-device Vision text recognition. The image and the recognized text are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded. On devices that support Apple Intelligence, on-device Foundation Models may refine the extracted result — also without leaving the device.

Network requests

Renewo makes no network requests for its features. It works fully offline; your data never traverses the network.

Purchases

Renewo Pro is sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled by Apple under your Apple ID; Renewo never receives or stores your payment details. Purchase/restore status is read from Apple’s StoreKit on your device only.

Notifications

Renewal reminders are scheduled and delivered locally on your device. No notification data leaves the device.

Face ID

If you enable the optional app lock, authentication uses Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework. Renewo never sees or stores your biometric data — it only receives a success or failure result from the system.

Children

Renewo is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will be revised.
